Wilma Pfeiff

Wilma Pfeiff, 79, of Winona, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita KS. She was born on August 19, 1938 to Hayden and Lou (Butler) Ross in Ordway Colorado. Wilma graduated from Olney Springs High School in the spring of 1956. She married Bobby Leo Pfeiff on December 15, 1957, at the Olney Springs Methodist Church and they resided in Boone Colorado. In the summer of 1960, they relocated to Winona Kansas.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Wilma was a Cub Scout Leader for many years. She worked at the school as bus radio operator for a time. Wilma and Bob purchased a restaurant and she ran The Lucky 7 Café and later the Country Kitchen in Winona. Wilma was active in the Winona Chamber of Commerce. In 1998 Wilma attended Colby Community College. She then worked at The Oak Tree Inn until she retired. Her passion was gardening and her pond.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Bob Pfeiff and one sister, Eula May (Sue) McClanahan.

She is survived by her son Dennis (Traci), of Delphos, KS, daughter Sandra Margheim, of Winona, KS, daughter Chris Stout, of Hays, KS, son Ken (Kristie), of Sutherland, NE and daughter Brenda Pfeiff, of Haslet TX; grandchildren Dennis Pfeiff Jr., Girard Pfeiff, Amber Newman, Savannah Witt, Sheyenne Hansen, Mike Margheim Jr, Jon Margheim, Doug Margheim, Kelsea Zentz, Wyatt Zentz, Anthony Pfeiff, Timothy Pfeiff, Matthew Pfeiff and Jeremiah Pfeiff; two sisters, Alice Nesselhuff and Judy Krosovec of Pueblo, CO, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at the United Methodist Church, Winona. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the United Methodist Church, Winona.
