J. “Bill” Randall William John “Bill” Randall retired business man and resident of Colby, Kansas for over 70 years departed this life peacefully on November 9, 2015, at home in Colby. The second of three boys, he was born on the family farm in Buffalo County Nebraska on December 25, 1917, to Otis and Esther Randall. In 1939 he began employment with the Kansas Nebraska Gas Company. He was transferred to Colby, Kansas from Oxford, Nebraska in 1943 to serve in the capacity as District Manager until leaving the company in 1953 to form a Partnership (Randall and McKee Sheet Metal, Heating and Air Conditioning). He maintained this business with other partners for many years until selling his interest to McClure Plumbing and Heating, Inc. He took particular pride in his work and enjoyed the challenge of the planning, construction and installation of the metal duct work necessary for the proper installation of furnaces and air conditioners. Bill was a Veteran, serving in the Navy as a Midshipman during WWII, a 32nd Degree Mason and a former Thomas County Commissioner. He was preceded in death by first wife Bettie Jo Osborn, second wife Maxine Mallory Hopper, brothers, Mark and Robert and parents Otis and Esther Randall. He is survived by his daughter Judy Anne Kriss of Denver, Colorado, four grandchildren Jay, Jack (Laura), Jordan (Allison) Jill and 7 great grand children. A memorial service will be held at Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel at 11:00 am on Monday, November 16, 2015. Graveside services and Interment will be at the family plot in Riverside Cemetery, Gibbon, Nebraska at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.
