Verlin Plummer

Verlin L. Plummer, 84, of Winona, died Saturday, December 7, 2013. He was born April 17, 1929 to Roy and Meta (Lee) Plummer in Monument, KS. He married NormaLee “Noni” Pinkston on June 1, 1947 in Colby, KS and they were married sixty six and a half years. He was a farmer and rancher, but had previously worked for the UP Rail Road, Sim Schaffer-Welding and Logan County Road Dept. He served on the Winona Township Board and was a member on the Winona United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Marvin Plummer and Granddaughter Grace Lee Plummer.

He is survived by his wife Noni; children, Sheila Plummer, Bogue, KS, Joan (Paul) Williams, Oakley, KS, Kevin (Andrea) Plummer, Oakley, KS, and Shawn (Shelly) Plummer, Winona, KS; sisters, Shirley Holmes, Denver, CO and Jennifer Torke, Littleton, CO; sister-in-law Bonnie Plummer, Colby, KS; sixteen Grandchildren and twenty three Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the United Methodist Church, Winona, KS with burial to follow at the Winona Cemetery.
