Veau Dell Prochazka

Veau Dell Prochazka left this world the morning of Thursday December 18th 2014 in her home in Atwood, Kansas. She was 86. She was born on September 27th, 1928 to parents Oral & Henrietta Franklin in Rawlins County Kansas.

Veau Dell attended Kansas State University and the University of Cincinnati before returning to Atwood where she taught at Atwood High School for many years. She married Louis Leonard Prochazka and had an only son Luke James Prochazka in June of 1958. After working on the farm and teaching for many years Veau Dell moved to Denver and worked at the Cherry Creek Mall for several years while living at The Season’s apartments in Cherry Creek.

At the age of 82, Veau Dell decided it was time to return to Kansas permanently and moved back into her farm house on the hill in Atwood. She enjoyed the quiet of the country and when her grandson’s would come to visit. Veau Dell would still sneak away to Denver once in a while to visit her home away from home. Some of Veau Dell's favorite things to do in retirement was to read, sew and cook one of her many delicious meals.

Veau Dell was preceded in death by her husband Louis and son Luke, as well as both her parents and all her siblings.

Veau Dell is survived by her two grandson’s Chace Louis Prochazka (Denver, CO) and Aaron Henry Prochazka (Denver, CO).
