Ty Koon

Ty Layne Koon, 55, of Colby, died April 13, 2024. He was born July 9, 1968. Ty worked as an auto body painter for Butch’s Body Shop and Lyle’s Body Shop, in Colby. He loved cars, especially classic muscle cars and enjoyed watching NASCAR and local car races. He was a self-taught musician and played the guitar in a band. He also enjoyed playing pool and was fond of participating in tournaments.

Ty is survived by his children, Troy (Sandra) Koon and Jessica (Mauricio) Soto; grandchildren, Kash Koon, Paisley and Adaley Soto; mother Kathy Grover and brother Van Koon.

A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Rexford Cemetery, Rexford, KS.
