Twila J. McAfee, 59, of Oakley, died on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Logan County Hospital. She was born October 7, 1956 to Donald and Mary (Harrington) Haddock in Kimball, NE. She attended high school in Utah and had worked at an animal clinic in Liberal, KS. She loved animals and children. Her door was always open to take in a stray animal and give it a home or to help a child, like she did through foster care.
Twila was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, James McAfee.
She is survived by her daughters, Dilia (Scott) Gee, of Oakley and Mary McCormick, of Galveston, TX; sisters, Sharlet Clinton and Rita Haddock; seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Colby, KS.
