Troy Faulkender

Troy Gene Faulkender, 52, of Oakley, died Monday, December 21, 2020. He was born June 29, 1968, in St. Francis, KS, to Roger and Joyce (Douthit) Faulkender. Troy attended St. Francis schools and represented the Indians as a 1985 State Champion wrestler. He graduated from St. Francis High School in 1986 and went on to attend Colby Community College and Kansas State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. Troy was a member of the Livestock Judging team at both Colby and K-State. He loved hunting and had a passion for ranching.

Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thad Sr. and Hazel Douthit and Howard “Phiz” and Grace Faulkender.

He’s survived by his children, Cody (Emily) Faulkender, Oakley and Taryn Faulkender, Hays; parents, Roger Faulkender, St. Francis and Joyce Faulkender, St. Francis; siblings, Tye (Amber) Faulkender, Leighann (Mike) Bandel and Lori (Cale) Reiger, all of St. Francis; several cousins and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 7-9:00 p.m. at the Oakley Country Club. A service will also take place in St. Francis, KS, at a later date.
