Tom Peterson

Tom W. Peterson, 78, of Colby, passed away July 29, 2022, at Prairie Senior Living Center, in Colby. He was born August 6, 1943, to Ward and Iona Peterson, in Imperial, NE. He graduated from Chase County High School in 1961 and received an associate degree in English from McCook Community College, in 1963. Tom married the love of his life, Patricia Johnson, on August 10, 1963. He worked for more than 30 years for KN Energy/Kinder Morgan, in Holdrege, NE and Colby, KS.

Tom was a devoted and loving husband, father, son and brother, who will be missed by many. He was an avid science fiction reader and his musical tastes ranged from Willie Nelson to Pink Floyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Charon, of Imperial, NE.

He is survived by his wife Patricia; sons, Terry, of Lincoln, NE, RJ (Kris) of Overland Park, KS and Brad (Vickie), of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Ben, Andrew, Josh, Jacob, Alyssa and Nate and brothers, Stan (Beth), of Lincoln, NE and Chuck (Meta), of Linköping, Sweden.
