Theodore Jack “Ted” Juenemann, 30, of Herndon, died Sunday, November 13, 2016. Ted was born March 10, 1986, in Hoxie, the son of Lawrence “Larry” and Kimberly (Knudson) Juenemann. He was a graduate of the Herndon class of 2004. One of his proudest accomplishments was his football team going to the state championships. Ted attended MMI Institute of Orlando, FL. He later attended Colby Community College receiving an Associate’s Degree of Science and Criminal Justice Degree. He then attended Pittsburg State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies.
Ted and his family moved back home to Gem, KS, where Ted managed the Colby Community College Farm. Ted enjoyed teaching and mentoring students that were involved with the Ag program. In November 2015, Ted accepted a job in Herndon, as a location manager for the Decatur CO-OP.
He enjoyed camping, especially “fish camp”, socializing, spending time with friends and family, shooting sports, billiards and motorcycles. Ted was loved by all and didn’t know a stranger.
Preceding him in death were his mother Kimberly; grandparents Jack and Dorothy Knudson; grandfather Lawrence N. Juenemann; uncle Todd Knudson; aunt Julie Groom and cousin Brett Spresser.
He is survived by his companion Mariah Egner; three children, Jaxon, 4, Kimberlyn, 2, and Dexter, 1; father Larry Juenemann and companion Mary Long; grandmother Mary Ann Juenemann; God parents Dan and Delores Juenemann; brother Luke and wife Julie; nieces, Jorja and Jemma Juenemann, and Kloie, Isis and Annabell; nephews, Nathan, Chance, Tanner and Evan; and a host of family and friends.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November, 17, 2016 at the Colby United Methodist Church. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
