Send Flowers 2-10-49 to 2-3-18 Shirley Kay (Albers) Shaw died peacefully on Saturday February 3, 2018 at the age of 68 at the Citizen’s Medical Center in Colby, KS surrounded by her family. Shirley was born on February 10, 1949 to Arnold (Arnie) and Rosie (Brungardt) Albers in Colby, KS. She worked at the Deep Rock Café in Colby, Kansas for 18 years with her family. After retiring from the café she spent several years traveling to see her kids, grandkids, and other family. Shirley was an avid KU Basketball fan. She enjoyed bowling at the Colby Bowl and did bowl with a league. Shirley is survived by her son and daughter in law Steven and Drema Shaw of Kansas City, MO, her daughter and son in law Valorie and Wayne Grammon, and her grandchildren Kendra, Janelle, Aaron, Sara, Tammy, and Katie, great grandchildren Skyler, Lillian, Leon, Audra, and Matthew, siblings Arnelle and Lonnie GilChrist Douglas, KS, Jolene and Bill Olsen Colby, KS, Audrey and Ernie Schaffer Liberal, KS, Sue and Ted Stauth Wichita, KS, Randy and Barb Albers Colby, KS and Veronica (Corky) and Jim Messer Council Grove, KS. Many family and friends also cherished her. She was preceded in death by her parents Arnie and Rosie Albers of Colby, KS. Services are scheduled for Wednesday February 7, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel 745 S Country Club Dr Colby, KS and will be laid to rest at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Colby, KS. A rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday February 6, 2018 at Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel.
