Shirley Garrett

Shirley Garrett, 83, Wilson, (formerly of Oakley), died on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Wilson. Shirley was born October 25, 1929 in Oakley to Loftus and Alyce (Shirley) Smith. She had resided in Oakley all of her life. She was a retired bank teller. She married Paul Garrett in November 12, 1950 in Oakley. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Oakley.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Paul (1999), and a son, David (2002).

Survivors include 2 sons, Rory (Joyce) Garrett of Fraiser Park, CA and Kevin (Bonnie) Garrett of Fort Collins, CO, a daughter, Erin (Les) Vopat, of Wilson; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
