Shirley Crowdis

Shirley E. Crowdis, 80, Atwood, died August 9, 2017 at Via Christi Saint Francis, Wichita. She was born March 2, 1937, in Grainfield, KS to C.A. and Rosa (White) Worthy. She graduated from Atwood High School, in 1955. She attended Fort Hays State University and Kansas State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Shirley married Gordon Neal Crowdis on August 17, 1963.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alice Liddle and brother, Lyle Worthy.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon, of the home; son, Tom (Paula) Crowdis, of Pratt, KS, daughter, Sara (Francisco) Rodriguez, Andover, KS, grandchildren; Jay and Lane Crowdis, Grace and Joaquin Rodriguez, brother, Gary Worthy, Atwood, and sister, Bessie Jean Mannoni, Topeka and many extended family members.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 13, at Baalmann Mortuary, Atwood. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 14, 2017 at the First Christian Church, Atwood, with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Atwood.
