Shirley Brown, 83 wife of Paul Brown, Jr passed away Saturday, August 31st in the Goodland Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
She was born May 21, 1930 in Rawlins County to Murray and Maude Edwards. On October 12, 1947, she married Paul Brown Jr. Children born to this union were Dana Unruh, Goodland, Jerry (deceased), and Doug (Wanda) of Colby.
She also leaves to mourn a brother Cliff Edwards (Neva) Hays and a sister Rita Hilmes (Ralph) of Montrose, CO – grandchildren Montica, Craig, Russell, Thomas, Lisa, Michelle, April and Tiffanie. Step grandchildren, Austin, Jessica, Kali and Kelsey.
Paul and Shirley resided in Roseburg, OR for approximately 15 years where they enjoyed the climate, scenery and new-found friends.
Shirley will long be remembered for her gracious hospitality, being a wonderful cook, an excelled seamstress and most of all – a woman with a warm and caring heart of gold. Family and friends were the center of her world.
Her ashes will be laid to rest with her son Jerry in the family’s final resting place in Atwood Fairview Cemetery. A memorial will be planned for the family at a later date. Online Condolence: www.baalmannmortuary.com
