Sharon Noriega

Sharon D. Noriega, 76, of Atwood, died May 31, 2017, at Kearney Regional Medical Center, Kearney, NE. She was born March 10, 1941, in Atwood, KS, to Judson T. and Irma D. (Wiginton) Corder. She graduated from Atwood High School in 1959.

Sharon worked for the Rawlins County Sheriff's Department for over 30 years. She was a devoted member to Courts of Praise and of the Order of the Eastern Start Radiant Chapter 229. She liked spending time with her good friend Patty, enjoyed fishing with Dick and Dana Kelly and cooking for everyone. Sharon never knew a stranger and loved all people. Boy was she a talker. Her biggest passions were the Church and Jesus.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Douglas Corder and sister-in-law, Vonda Baumfalk-Corder.

She is survived by her son, Gary Noriega, Hilton Head Island, SC; brother, Dick Corder; nephew, Rick Corder and niece, Kim (Ron) Kisner, all of Atwood; grand nephews; Jud and Tanner Corder, Brock Indermule, and Jeremy, Christopher and Travis Kisner.

Visitation will be 4-7:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 at Baalmann Mortuary, Atwood. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2107, at Fairview Cemetery, Atwood.
