Ruth Lisenby

Ruth G. Lisenby (Rowe), 84, of Great Bend, died Monday, December 11, 2017, at Cheyenne County Hospital. She was born February 22, 1933, in Great Bend KS, to Fredrick and Ester (Penney) Rowe. On June 17, 1970, she married Roger A. Lisenby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Fredrick and Ester Rowe; siblings, Herman Rowe, Edison Rowe and Merrella Rowe; husband, Roger A. Lisenby; son, Kenneth E. Lewis; grandson, Virgil L. Schroeder and granddaughters, Paula and Sherri Lewis and Theresa Moon.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Orin) Allen, of N. Sioux City, SD, Grace Schoreder, of Sealy, TX, Marvin Lewis, of Great Bend, KS, Carol (Dave) Thacker, of Great Bend, KS, Delbert (Lucille) Lewis, of Great Bend, KS, Kathy Lewis, of Dodge City, KS , Karen (Roy) Shrader, of Bird City, KS and Chuck Lisenby, of Great Bend, KS; siblings, Hank Rowe, Lawerence Rowe, Daisy (David) Colgan, of Great Bend, KS, Bill (Jackey) Rowe, of Oswgeo, KS, Anne (John) Coud, of Silent Springs, AR: twenty grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation was chosen. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Foundry Methodist Church, Great Bend, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Great Bend, KS, Memorials are suggested to Ruth Lisenby Family, 425 Buckeye D-10, Great Bend, KS 67530.
