Rosemary Jones Briney, 72, of Brewster, died July 11, 2015 at Fairview Estates, Colby. She was born August 23, 1942, in Chicago, IL, to Leonard and Catherine (Levandowski) Russo. She married Robert Jones in 1962, in Phoenix, AZ and he preceded her in death. She then married Chad Briney, on April 20, 1996, in Levant, KS. Rosemary had worked for C Steel in Phoenix, AZ and later worked for CB Heating in Colby. She was also a farm wife and rancher, managing the Briney Ranch, where she enjoyed the livestock and wild life. Rosemary loved animals and founded the Pound League at the Colby Animal Clinic. Gardening, crafts, and camping, particularly at Scott Lake, were some of her favorite pastimes.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Robert Jones.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Chad, Brewster; sons, Jeff Jones, Brewster, Mark Jones, Scottsdale, AZ, and Brian (Niki) Jones, Colby; brother, Charles Russo, AZ; Aunt, Elizabeth English, Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Todd, Samantha, James, Christian and Robert Jones; nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog, Lexi.
Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Atwood.
