Robert Novak

Robert ‘Bob’ Novak, 82, of Oakley, formerly of Grinnell, died Saturday, October 7, 2017. He was born December 10, 1934, on a farm in Gove County, KS, to Otto and Regina (Dickman) Novak. Bob had worked for the Gove County Road Department. He enjoyed tinkering with motors, reading and doing puzzles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mayetta Schulte, Ann Brock, Elwin Novak and Rita Castor.

He is survived by his children, Curtis (Rene’) Novak, Olathe, KS and Jonathan (Jennifer) Novak, Oketo, KS; grandchildren Shayla and Brandon Novak, Oketo, KS; and siblings Charles Novak, Oakley, KS, Walter Novak, Grinnell, KS and Mary Ann Novak, Coxsackie, NY.

Cremation was chosen. To celebrate Roberts’s life the family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley.
