Robert Eugene Arnberger

Robert Eugene Arnberger, 90, of Winona, died Friday, March 7, 2025. He was born on July 14, 1934, in Modoc Kansas. Robert was born to Karl and Adel (Wemmer) Arnberger. He was the second oldest of six children. He attended Little Eagle elementary school south of Russell Springs and then went to Sharon Springs and Flagler Colorado, where he played football.

On June 2, 1952, Robert married the love of his life, Norma Jean Chaney. In this unity, Robert and Norma started their family of five children: Darrel and (Vicky) of Colby Kansas, Charlene and (Curt) of Winona Kansas, Rodney and (Deneyce) of Colby Kansas, Krista and (Kenny) Robins of Galva Kansas.

Robert and Norma moved to Climax, Colorado where he worked in the molybdenum mines. They later moved back to Winona and started a business with his brother Dennis- Arnberger Services and filling station. In 1979 Robert sold the station and moved to the Bouziden Ranch in Russell Springs Kansas, where he pursued his love of farming and ranching. In 1990 Robert Returned to Winona Kansas to start his own farm.

In addition to farming, Robert was very compassionate about his family. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Karl and Adele Arnberger; his wife Norma Jean; son Robert E Junior and brothers, Carl (Bud) Arnberger and Bruce Arnberger.

Surviving family includes siblings, Francis “Babe” Arnberger of Oakley Kansas, Dennis (Gloria) Arnberger of Great Bend Kansas and Kathy (Jim) Koons of St James Missouri, and an enormous number of nephews and nieces.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 14th, 2025, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley, with a rosary at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the Winona Cemetery.
