Regis Kogl

Regis Marie Kogl was born April 26, 1943, in Oberlin, KS to Joseph and Helen (Riepl) Marintzer. She passed away on August 16, 2016 in Lakewood, CO.

She attended Herndon schools and graduated from high school in 1961. She graduated from Brown-Mackie Business School, Salina, Kansas, in 1963.

She married Melvin Kogl on October 26, 1963 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Herndon. They made their home in Lakewood, Colorado, where they raised their two children, Michele and Jamie. Regis had a long career employed by the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. After retiring in 2002, she enjoyed gardening, helping out at her church, taking trips to Disneyland, spending time with her two granddaughters, and the occasional trip to BlackHawk to play the slots.

Regis was preceded in death by her husband Melvin, parents Helen and Joseph, brother Roger, and sister-in-law Jo.

She is survived by her children, Jamie (Lisa), of Lakewood, CO and Michele Kogl, of Phoenix, AZ; brother Daniel Marintzer, of Omaha, NE and grandchildren, Kayla and Rachael Kogl.

Visitation is 4-7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Herndon with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass is 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2016 also at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
