Peter Caines

Peter Caines, 84, of Colby, died Sunday, April 26, 2020, at his home. He was born March 20, 1936 in North Tidworth, England to Reginald and Florence (Partridge) Caines. Peter served in the Royal Army during the Korean War. On October 10, 1964, he married Phyllis Smart. They move from England, settling in Colby, KS on July 17, 1979. Peter worked for Elmer Schielke, Western Sprinklers, Sierra Sand Blasting, Orscheln’s, and most recently, Walmart. He was loved by many and known for his hard work and big hugs. Peter enjoyed gardening and was a professional tinkerer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis; two sisters and four brothers.

He is survived by his children, Deborah(Steve) Schneider, Hazel (Irwin) Westheimer and Jeniffer (Gary) Wolters; brother Robert Caines; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will take place at Beulah Cemetery on Thursday, April 30, 2020.
