Patsy Dorene (Babst) Kahle, 89, of Winona, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Citizens Medical Center, in Colby, KS. She was born November 1, 1928, in Wakefield, KS, to Arthur and Rosa (Suter) Babst. Patsy attended school in Monument, KS and graduated from Winona Schools. She then worked at JCPenney’s in Oakley. On August 10, 1947, she was united in marriage with Clarence Kahle. They celebrated 70 years of marriage. Patsy enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and baking pies, sewing, reading and making many beautiful quilts. Her life was spent as a devoted housewife, mother and “Grammie”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Arthur Babst and Rosa Yeoman; step-father, Clarence Yeoman; brother Richard Babst.
Patsy is survived by her husband Clarence, of Winona; children, Kim (John) Bruggeman, of Hoxie, KS and Kurt (Pam) Kahle, of Monument, KS; seven grandchildren, Jason (Natalie) Horinek, of Kidder, MO, Cory (Susan) Horinek, of Berryton, KS, ReChelle Horinek (Dusty Spresser), of Selden, KS, Russ (Angie) Kahle, of Oakley, KS, Nathan Horinek (Patricia Mong), of Goodland, KS, Evan (Kristy) Kahle, of Monument, KS, and Grant (Sharaya) Kahle, of Winona, KS and 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Winona United Methodist Church, with burial in the Winona Cemetery.
