Patricia Miller, 92, of Colby Ks. passed away March 31, 2015 at Citizens Medical Center.
She was born October 13, 1922, the daughter of Edith (Brickwood) and William Henry Gill, in Devonport, England.
In 1944 Pat married Orville E. Miller in Calstock, England. Orville was a Tech Sergeant in the U. S. Army during World War II.
In 1946 she sailed on the John Erickson, a ship dedicated to bringing war brides to America; then traveled by train to join Orville in Colby, where they made their home. In 1962 Pat realized her dream of becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States.
Pat had a servants' heart. She was happiest when taking care of family, friends, and creatures big and small.
She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, the Colby Country Club and various social organizations.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, her son Rex Lynn Miller, sisters, Phyllis Langsford and Betty Studden, brother Dennis, son-in-law, Curt Bear and niece Pat Wilson.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Sandra Bear of Brewster; a sister Pauline Spry of England; a brother-in-law Eldon (Jean) Miller of Grapevine, TX; four grandchildren: Kelli (Jeff) Fullmer, Brant (Christy) Bear, Stephen (Debra) Bear, Andrea (Todd) Bear; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Funeral was 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church with burial following in Beulah Cemetery.
