Noveline Haremza

Noveline Mae (Zeller) Haremza, 79, of Colby, died Sunday, August 13, 2023. She was born to Alvin and C. Marie Zeller on April 29, 1944, in Scott City, Kansas. At the age of seven, Noveline became a Polio survivor.

On August 20, 1963, Noveline married, and later divorced, Lester Haremza. From this union were born two children, Velma & Ronald (Ron). Noveline experienced life as a homemaker while her children were young. Once her children were older, she worked until 2005 in the retail industry. In 2005, she began working at the Prairie Museum of Art and History in Colby, Kansas. She enjoyed greeting the museum’s visitors and appreciated all the history comprised with this position. Noveline retired from the museum in April of this year.

Noveline was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ron Haremza; grandson, Teryn Haremza; brother, John; brothers-in-law, Lawerence Rall and David Healy; and a nephew, Matthew Healy.

Noveline is survived by her daughter, Velma, and son-in-law, Travis; grandsons, Tayber Haremza and Tanner Goodheart; siblings, Jeannine Rall, Violet Healy, Larry (Nadene) Zeller, Sherry (Chris) Mead, and many nieces and nephews.

A small family graveside service will be conducted at a later date.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prairie Museum of Art and History or Heartland Christian School and sent in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby, KS 67701. For information or condolences visit baalmannmortuary.com
