Norven Merriman

N. Preston Merriman, 77, of Oakley, died January 21, 2011. He was born to J S and Rosa (Snart) Merriman in Oakley, KS on May 19, 1933. He attended school in Oakley graduating in 1951. Other then the two years he was in the army he lived his entire life in Oakley. He married Lindola (Schuman) Baker December 28, 1981.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a bother Nemo S, Merriman and a sister, Elnor Rietchle.

He is survived by his wife, Lindola Merriman, (Oakley), a step daughter Melissa Baker (Almena), a nephew and three nieces and numerous great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

By his wishes there will be no funeral services. Burial will be in Oakley Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2011. Baalmann Mortuary of Oakley is handling arrangements.
