Norman G. Wellbrock, 69, of Grinnell, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 in Oakley, KS. He was born May 25, 1945 in Russell, KS to Lawrence and Martha (Jacobs) Wellbrock. He married Mary Kay Kroeger on August 7, 1965 in Ellis, KS. Norman and his father owned and operated Wellbrock Tank Service. He later ran his own business, Westland Oil Field Supply and had worked for Sunrise Oil Field Services for the last sixteen years. In his younger days Norman had raced stock cars. He also loved riding motorcycles and was a member of the Northwest Kansas Drifters Motorcycle Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Kay and sister, Sylvia Sherfick.
He is survived by his children, Kristine (Duane) Vollbracht, Matthew Wellbrock, Tammy (James) Wellbrock-Talley, Scott (Vanessa) Wellbrock; sister, Kathy Richards; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren and special friend Erma Gee.
Cremation was chosen. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center, Grinnell. Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Grinnell.
