Norman Lee Wagoner, age 63, of Holyoke, Colorado, passed away suddenly, Friday, October 14, 2011 in Holyoke.
Norm was born February 10, 1948 in Quinter, Kansas to Sylvester and Genevieve (Linnenberger) Wagoner.
Norm married Janet Phlieger at Sacred Heart Church in Park, Kansas on May 3, 1969.
On January 15, 1972, their son Bradley was born in Scott City, Kansas. In April 1978, the family moved from Leoti, Kansas to Holyoke, Colorado.
Norm was a member of the Holyoke Fire Department from 1982 – 2002 and also served as the Fire Chief.
In 1980 after many years of working at Kansas-Nebraska Gas Company, he opened his own heating and air conditioning business. During the past 31 years in business he met many people and built many strong friendships.
Preceding him in death, are his wife of 48 years, Janet, his parents, sister-in-law Judy Phlieger, niece Tamera Wagner.
Norm is survived by his son, Brad Wagoner, brothers Ron (Bernita) Wagoner of Great Bend Kansas, Larry (Sherry) Wagoner of Salina, Kansas, Art (Terri) Wagoner of Salina, Kansas, Kenny (Karen) Wagoner of McPherson, Kansas, sister Sharon (Mart) Gagnon of Grainfield, Kansas and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Gerk Funeral Home, Holyoke, Colorado.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 7:00 pm at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Holyoke, with Father William Jungmann (Youngmann) officiating.
A wake will be held for Norm Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Park, Kansas.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 21, 2011, 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park, Kansas with Father Michael Elan.
Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Park, Kansas.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Norman Wagoner Memorial Fund, 739 S. Baxter, Holyoke, CO 80734
