Norman B. Voigt, 81, passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2023, at Citizens Medical Center in Colby. He was born April 3rd, 1942, in Adrian, Minnesota to Ida (Finck) and Elden Voigt.
He enjoyed many careers including being a librarian, teacher, running a dairy farm, owning a skating rink, managing restaurants, owning a furniture store, operating vending machines, and doing handyman work.
In August 1982, he married Carol (Fritz) Terrell. To this union came a biological daughter and 5 adopted children.
Norman enjoyed singing, woodworking, fishing, hunting, spending time in the outdoors, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
He also lived in many places, including Avon, SD, Palestine, TX, Corsicana, TX, and Ozark, AR. In 2020 he moved to Colby to be near his daughter. While in Colby, he appreciated the ministry and friendship of many in the Berean Bible Fellowship. The family would also like to express deep appreciation to his primary doctor, Dr. Dan Kuhlman, and all of the wonderful staff of the Citizens Medical Center in Colby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lorraine, and daughter Emma.
He is survived by 3 sisters; daughter Marla Voigt of Dallas, TX; daughter Amber (Jeremy) Kersenbrock of Colby; son Alberto Voigt of Ozark AR; daughter Marivel (Michael) Ruhl of Dardanelle, AR; son Russel Voigt; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
