Norman Larsen

June 11, 1931 — March 9, 2014

Norman E. Larsen of Kansas City, MO transitioned from earth to heaven to be with Jesus on March 9, 2014. He was born June 11, 1931, to James and Pearle Larsen, and was one of nine children. He entered the U.S. Navy in August, 1950, and served aboard the U.S.S. Kermit Roosevelt, stationed primarily at Yokosuka, Japan. After discharge, he served with The Navigators of Colorado Springs, CO a few years, and then was employed in manufacturing for a number of years. In September, 1955, he married Lucile Schmidt of Arriba, CO, who preceded him in death in 1995. In November of that year, he married Carolyn Stuhrman of Kansas City, MO, and they enjoyed 18 years of happily married life.

Preceded in death by his parents; 3 sons, Randy, Toney, James and his wife, Sheila.

Survived by wife, Carolyn; 3 children, Lauri Larsen, Gladstone MO, Opal Knight, Eskridge KS and Suzanne Ebert (William) Lake Waubunsee KS; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.

Visit. will be 10:00 am and the memorial service at 11:00 am Wed. Mar. 12 at Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall Rd, KCMO. A service will also be held at Baalmann Mortuary in Colby KS on Thur. Mar. 13 at 10:30 a.m., with burial in Beulah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stonecroft Ministries or Colonial Presbyterian Church.
