Nina Mary Wilson, 88, of Colorado Springs, died Friday, March 10, 2017, at Liberty Heights Respite Care, Colorado Springs, CO. She was born March 14, 1928 in Treece, KS. She was raised from the age of 6 by Charley and Francis Miles of Hoxie. She attended and graduated from Hoxie schools.
On May 8, 1949, she married Clarence F. Wilson, in the Hoxie Methodist Church. She was a member of GR Girls Group, Epsilon Chi Chapter, Homemakers Extension Unit, was a Pink Lady at Citizens Medical Center, taught Sunday School and VBS for many years in the Oakley United Methodist Church and completed the Menninger Bible Study. She was involved in 4-H, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts with her children. She worked for many years in drugstores and enjoyed getting to know the customers. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling and her family, especially her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her foster parents; her husband; her brother, LeRoy Culver; foster sisters and brother.
Survivors include three children, Jeff (Charlene Trobaugh) Wilson, Colorado Srpings, CO, Steve (Susie) Wilson, Colby, KS, Joletta (Duane) Cheney, Colby, KS; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley, KS. Inurnment will follow in the Oakley City Cemetery.
