Nellie Burkhead

Nellie “Lucille” Burkhead, 81, of Colby, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Colby Health and Rehab. She was born September 14, 1936, in Salem, NC.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Ed Burkhead; son, David Cook and grandson, James Wright.

She is survived by her children, William (Peggy) Cook, Bruce Cook, Michael (Missy) Wright and Roger Wright; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Oakley City Cemetery.
