Mildred Briard

Mildred E. Briard, 76, of Oakley, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. She was born October 2, 1935 to Carl and Mollie (Karb) Eiring in Windsor, CO. She married James Briard on October 3, 1954. They were residence to the Colby and Oakley area for 40 years. She was an artist and homemaker, Millie also painted a delightful splendor of seascapes and florals, teddy bear and Indian Girl.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband James Briard; a daughter Joyce Skeers; a grandson Jason Skeers.

Survivors include three daughters Rita (Ray) Hartman, Wichita, Monica Porter, Oakley and Roxie (Ed) Skeers, Oakley; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. Memorials are suggested to the Logan county Hospital of Manor in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 204, Oakley, KS 67748.
