Michael Francis Weishapl

Michael Francis Weishapl, 67, passed away on December 8, 2024, at his home in Atwood, Kansas. He was born on December 15, 1956, in Atwood, Kansas, to Linus Charles Weishapl and Rosemary Elizabeth (Simminger) Weishapl. Michael attended Atwood High School, from which he graduated in 1975. For work he farmed and worked at the Bell & Carlson Gun Stock company. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He was particularly fond of dogs, especially his black labs. Michael had the most amazing friends, and never knew a stranger.

He is survived by his sisters, Susan (Kirk) Easterday and Nancy (Jim) Kanak; 6 nieces and nephews, and 10 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother William Weishapl, and his baby sister Margaret.
