Melda Brocher, 93, of Oakley, died Sunday, February 12, 2012. She was born October 25, 1918 to Grover and Lillie (Davis) Mastin in Russell Springs. She married Lawrence Brocher on February 3, 1938. She was a homemaker, a member of the Oakley United Methodist Church and Methodist women's group.
She is preceded in death by her husband on August 4, 2000.
She is survived by her son Randy (Brenda) Brocher, Houston, TX; three grandchildred Scott Brocher, Dallas, TX, Nicole Brocher-Jones, Concoe, TX, and Kaylea Brocher, Houston, TX and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Oakley United Methodist Church. Memorials are suggested to the church in care of Baalmann Mortuary, P.O. box 204, Oakley, KS 67748.
