Mary Ellen Wade, 95, of Colby, KS passed away on Tuesday April 9, 2024, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, KS. Mary Ellen was born on July 8, 1928, in Monument, KS to Jack and Ellen Reed.
Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Albert Patton, Ira Wayne Littell, and Gale Wade; older brothers, Gerald Reed and Jack “Joker” Reed, as well as her infant sister Grace Reed.
She is survived by her daughters, Mara Duke and Debbie Couch; son-in-law Richard Couch; grandchildren, Heather Roland, Nicholas Duke, Reed Couch and Ellen Couch; great grandson Skyler Stanford and great granddaughter Caroline Stanford.
Mary Ellen will be missed by her family, and her many friends. She was fond of her many dogs and cats and enjoyed listening to the various birds on her farm.
No memorial service has been planned at this time. Her ashes will be inurned in Beulah Cemetery in Colby, Kansas. Baalmann Mortuary, Colby is handling the arrangements.
