Mary Eva (Plymesser) Draper, 77, of Atwood, died May 7, 2018, in Hays KS. She was born October 14, 1940, in Speed KS, to Guy and Stella May (Paulsen) Plymesser. She attended grade school and graduated from Densmore High School with the class of 1958. After graduation she attended Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina KS. She returned to Phillipsburg and worked at Farm Bureau. While there she met her future husband. Roy Draper and Mary Plymesser were united in marriage on March 18, 1960. To this union three children were born.
Mary enjoyed cooking, at the Snack Shack and many years at Atwood High School. Mary loved spending time with her husband camping, reading and enjoying time with their grandkids.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Warren and Gary and her sister in law Sandra.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 58 years; her children, Laurie (Steve) Kastens, of Ludell, Linda (Draper) Wright, of Atwood, and Jason (Rubylee) Draper, of Wakeeney; grandchildren, Nathen (Renee) Wright, Emily (Jake) Kastens, Shelby (Jordan) Wright, Cody Wright, Darcy, Kadie and Asher Draper and great grandchildren, Gabbie and Adilynn Wright.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Baalmann Mortuary, in Atwood. Funeral service will be Friday, May 11, at 10:00 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Atwood.
