Marlene Brier

Marlene Sylvia Brier, 77, of Colby, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the Sheridan County Hospital, in Hoxie, KS. She was born November 5, 1944, in Selden, KS, to Melchior and Mary (Goscha) Weis. Throughout her life Marlene worked at Mr. C’s, Sonic, several area liquor stores and as a physical therapy C.N.A. at local nursing homes. Marlene loved being around people, especially her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Alfred and Cletus Weis; sisters, Loretta Walker and Donna Johnson and son Ronald Lynn Brier.

She is survived by her children, Patty Ann (Bob) Mullins, of Hoxie, KS, and Michael Allen (Valerie) Brier, of Colby, KS; five grandchildren, Bradley Allyn Mullins, of Grinnell, KS, Renee LeAnn (Doug) Wagoner, of Hoxie, Austin Michael Brier, of Hays, KS, Brandon Allen Brier, of Colby and Dalton (MaKayla) Colgan, of Colby; six great grandchildren, Joshua Allyn and Lillian Iva Mullins, Kymber Elaine and Karley Sylvia Wagoner, Hailey Brackett and Hazel Colgan; brothers, Dean Weis, Don (Pat) Weis, Robert (Sheila) Weis and Marvin (Janet) Weis and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022, also at the mortuary, with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Colby.
