On November 4, 1955, Mark Alan Ginther was born to Harlan and Naida (Arendt) Ginther in Atwood, KS. He died January 14, 2015 at the age of 59 in Atwood, KS.
Mark was the youngest of three children, after Jane and Barbara. He was raised in Atwood and graduated from Atwood High School in 1974. On June 18, 1977 Mark married Bregette Leibbrandt and to this union three sons were born; Blake Alan, Drew Lee and Bart James. Mark was a devoted father and cared greatly about his sons. He especially enjoyed attending their sporting events and watching them grow up. In 2008 his first grandchild, Tatum, was born, which brought great joy to his life.
Mark never knew a stranger because he could talk to anyone. This was shown greatly through his Ginther Oil 4th of July barbeques and get togethers, he held annually, for quite a few years. Strangers turned to friends and friends turned to family quickly with Mark’s enormous heart, whether he was close to home or halfway across the country.
On March 14, 2012 Mark married Linda Michelbrink. To this union Mark gained three step children; Eric, Amanda and Tonya and seven grandchildren, Michele, Shawn, Cade, Kennedy, Brody, Ethan and Addison. Mark and Linda spent his remaining years filled with happiness, enjoying the company of friends and family.
