Marilyn Selby

Marilyn M. Selby 84, passed away Monday July 7th, 2014. She was born Sept. 2nd 1929 at her parents’ home south of Brewster KS to Newton and Alice (Parker) Smith. Survivors: Son Robert B. Selby, of Colby. Daughters Linda Schwarz and husband Eugene, of Grinnell. Scarlet Hill and Husband Mark, of Oakley. Sister Erma Tubbs, of Colby. Seven Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce, her parents and one brother (James Dale Smith). Marilyn (a homemaker) and Bruce raised their children on a farmstead south of Brewster and retired to Colby. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday July 11th 2014, at Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel in Colby with burial to follow at Brewster Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday July 10th from 2pm – 8pm. Memorials may be made to Colby College Endowment Foundation or to NWKS for HOPE Foundation in care of the funeral home.
