Linda Louise Zerr, 72, died March 1, 2023, at Hays Medical Center, Hays KS. She was born on Jan 4, 1951, at their family farm east of Angelus KS to Martin and Mary (Korte) Dickman.
Linda graduated from Grinnell High School in 1969 and was a resident of Gove County her entire life. She worked at the Gove County Advocate for over 50 years writing news articles, taking pictures for events in Gove County and making ads for the local businesses. Linda was known to so many through all her years at the Advocate. She was member of WaKeeney Eagle Lodge #3774, Sacred Heart Altar Society in Park, Red Hats Society and many other clubs and organizations.
You could always find Linda following her grandkids to all their events, going to dirt track races, planting flowers, and decorating her house in beautiful yard art. She loved to attend auctions and garage sales and share her treasures she found with others. With her family and friends, she also enjoyed bowling and playing cards.
Survivors include one son: Mark (Mary) Zerr of Oakley KS and two daughters: Amy (Darrin) Davidson of Park, KS, and Alexandra (David) Heck of Oskaloosa, KS; two sisters, Phyllis Diers of Arvada, CO, and Janie Brown of Grinnell; one brother Kenny (Betty) Dickman of Caldwell, ID; eight grandkids, Dayanara (Sheldon) Sulzman, Tori (Shane) Sulzman, Kourtney Davidson, John Tyler and Ethan Zerr, Timothy, Killian, and William Heck; one great-grandson, Reed Sulzman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Bobby Dickman; a sister Evelyn Schmidt; a grand-daughter Kristine Davidson and two brothers-in-law, Jess Schmidt and Joel Diers.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5, 2023, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Angelus. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2023, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
