Linda Lou Ramsey

Linda “Lindy” Lou (McFee) Ramsey was born August 24th, 1952, to Malcolm McFee and Betty (Anderson) McFee. She was the third born of four sisters Sharon, Shirley, Linda and Beverly. She passed away peacefully at her home in Atwood, Kansas on January 31st, 2025, at the age of 72. She graduated from Atwood High School in 1970. In 1976 her first son Leonard Malcolm Ramsey was born and then in 1980 her second son Joet Elvin Ramsey Jr. In 1993 Linda attended CCC in Norton Kansas earning her LPN and then her RN in 1996. She worked as an RN at the Andbe-Home in Norton and then the Good Samaritan in Atwood for many years. In 2009 she met Michael “Doc” Vedro on their first date at a CCR concert in Kearney Nebraska. Ever since then they had been inseparable. They traveled the states together, as Doc was an over the road driver. Linda’s love for her family, patients and residents was unwavering. 

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Betty McFee; sisters, Sharron and Shirley; nieces, Shelly Troutman and Mary Inman; and great nephew Blaise Inman. 

She is survived by her partner Michael (Doc) Vedro; sister Beverly McFee; sons, Leonard Ramsey and Joet Ramsey (Megan Marrs); grandchildren, Malecai Sloan Ramsey, Brilen Williams, Koryn Ramsey, Kadyn Ramsey and Avery Ramsey; great grandchildren, Travis Thomson, Weston Sloan, Killian Bailey and Charlie Ramsey; nieces and nephews, Sherri Van Horn, Shawn Van Horn, David and Rex Wederski, Paula Hartbank, and Amber McGinnis.
