A long-time resident of Colby, Kansas, Linda Lee (Hahn) Murray, 75, died September 25th, 2024, at the Citizens Medical Center in Colby after a fight against cancer. She was the youngest of three children, born on March 17th, 1949, in Marysville, Kansas to Irene (Gellinger) and Frank Hahn.
Linda was born and raised in Marysville, Kansas. She attended Marysville High School, graduating in 1967. She later went on to continue her education in Topeka, Kansas where she lived for many years after. In 1976, she moved to Colby and quickly became an avid member of the community. There, she worked at Commercial Sign, Colby Medical Center, Comfort Inn, Prairie Museum, and Thomas County Courthouse, retiring in 2021. In her free time, she also enjoyed playing bridge, watching football, working in her yard, and spending time with her cat, Ava. She also took significant pride in watching her children and grandchildren grow.
Linda is survived by her two sons, Christopher Murray of Colby, Kansas and Michael Murray of Montrose, Colorado, and four grandchildren, Izabel Murray, Colton Murray, Emma Murray, and Brooke (husband, Nathan) Larson.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Louella (Hahn) Hammond, and her brother, Leonard Frank Hahn.
As per Linda's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. A small ceremony will occur for her immediate family to spread her ashes near the Big Blue River in Marysville, Kansas in the near future.
