Leroy Schneider

LeRoy Schneider, 85, of McDonald, died Thursday, March 12, 2020. He was born April 25, 1934, in Russell County, KS, to Pete and Anna (Herdt) Schneider. LeRoy married Nema Barnhart on July 1, 1962, in Atwood, KS. LeRoy worked in the oil field and owned L&S Drywall. He also owned the liquor store in McDonald and farmed in the Achilles area. In his free time LeRoy enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nema; four brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina M. Hardaway (Roger), Concordia, KS.; son, Steve Schneider (Deb), McDonald, KS.; grandchildren, Garrett Peterson, Nakita Schneider, Bridgett Eggelson, Brendan Hardaway, Peter M. Caines, Anthony Repshire and Denise Repshire along with twelve great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen and a family graveside service will take place at a later date at Grace Cemetery, in McDonald, KS.
