Leon Lang

Leon Lang, 63, of Atwood, died Friday, December 11, 2015. He was born December 2, 1952, in Wichita, KS, to Clarence and Lillian (Sauer) Lang. He was a 1971 graduate of Atwood High School. On July 17, 1976 he married Rebecca Riepl. Leon was a self-taught welder and worked for Carlson Industries for thirty three years. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with friends. He was a great grandfather.



He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Allen Riepl and father-in-laws, Ernest Riepl and Dan Smith.



He is survived by his wife Becky; sons, Isaah (Betsy) and Johnny (Jessica); grandson, Carter; granddaughter, Ellie; brother, Carey (Becky S.); sister, Joyce (Dennis) Duryea; Mother-in-law, Alvina Smith; sister-in-law, Diana (Mike) Tongish; nephew, Matthew (Pamela) Lang; nieces, Kendra (Marshall) Hespe, Jessica (John) Harrison and Sheila (Adam) Heiman and their families.



Cremation was chosen. A memorial mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Atwood with inurnment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
