Lee Schrock

Lee J. Schrock, 46, of Oakley, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 in his home due to accidental death. He was born March 12, 1967 in Hays, KS to Don and Lori (Socha) Schrock. Lee graduated from Oakley High School in 1985. He played football, basketball, track, and golf. He attended college at Kansas State University and Fort Hays State University. He spent years working on golf courses in California and Arizona and loved it. He was employed by Sporer Land Development. He loved sports and was a great supporter of Oakley athletics as well as local colleges. He was a prolific Facebook poster and the number one fair weather fan of K-State sports. He was also quite proud of his dancing skills.

He is preceded in death by his father Don Schrock, his step father Weir Ostmeyer, his maternal grandparents Leonard and Lydia Socha, and his paternal grandparents Elmer and Mildred Schrock.

Lee is survived by his children: Cory Schroeder, Chanelle, Kurstie, and Chelsey Schrock, Tyler Folds and one granddaughter. He is also survived by his mother Lori Ostmeyer and good friend and brother Ty Schrock, his big sister Yvette Vreeman and her husband Dave Vreeman along with his two nieces that he loved dearly, Alexis Schrock and Olivia Vreeman.

Lee loved cats and he loved his kids. Because of those loves Memorials can be made to the Northwest Animal Shelter in Goodland, Kansas and to a children's fund set up in the name of his son, Cory Schroeder.
