Lawrence Bohme, 62, of Colby, died Friday, August 9, 2014 at his home in rural Rawlins County. He was born August 14, 1951 to Henry and Maxine (Thomas) Bohme. He graduated from Atwood High School, Colby Community College and Fort Hays State University. After graduating from college he entered the United State Air Force and served in the states and abroad in Thailand, Korea, Guam as a security guard and military dog trainer. He retired on June 30, 1993 after 20 years of services. He then drive a semi cross country for 10 years based out of Wichita Falls, TX. He returned to the family farm in 2005. He worked for Hajoca until his retirement in 2013. His greatest joy was training and spending time with dogs.

He is survived by two brothers, Carl (Jeannette) Bohme, of Arvada, CO and Bruce (Carol) Bohme, of Colby, KS.
Visitation will be 6-8:00pm on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Funeral service will be 10:00am on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby.
