Larry F. Robben, 65, of Oakley, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Logan County Hospital. He was born Oct 16, 1946 to Francis and Laverna (Lintel) Robben in Colby. He graduated from Oakley High School in 1964. He married wife Alice Engel on March 30, 1985. He was a member of the Oakley Knights of Columbus and an owner/operator or Oakley Motors for 43 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a son Eric Robben, 2011.
Survivors include his wife Alice; three daughters Anita (Steve) Novacek, of Wichita, Tanya (Todd) Schwarz, of Rexford and Misty Hockersmith and Fiancee Rod Swart, of Oakley; two brothers, Dan (Chris) Robben, of Oakley, Mike Robben, of Wakeeney; two sisters, Linda (John) Howard, of Wakeeny and Lana Sue (Steve) Wilson, of Colby; six grandchildren Tori, Trey and Tristan Schwarz, Logan and Cory Mead, and Gage Robben-Wooley; one great grandchild Tatium Schwarz.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley. Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at St Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley. Burial with follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Oakley.
