Larenz Jacob Rall Larenz Jacob Rall, 76, of Colby, husband of Jeannine and father to Tracy and Tim, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his home. He was born September 13, 1937 at the farmstead northwest of Hoxie to William Christ and Dorothy Christene Sophie Louise (Gaede) Rall. Larenz graduated from Hoxie High School in 1956. He served his country in the Army Aus Infantry as a Green Beret stationed in Germany from 1958-60. On February 11, 1961 he married Jeannine Marie Zeller. To this union was born two sons, Tracy and Tim. He spent many years delivering freight for Ideal Truck Lines and enjoyed his customers. Later in life he worked at Wal-Mart in Colby. Over the years he enjoyed serving in Jaycees, his bowling league, coaching and playing softball and being Santa at Christmas was a favorite time. But most of all, he enjoyed his children, grandchildren and had a special bond with niece, Ashley Zeller Weber as well as other nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and parent-in-laws, Alven and Marie Zeller; brothers, Theodore, Ervin, Wilferd (Bob), William, Jr.; sisters,Wilma Steier, Mary Owens and Helen Rall; sister-in-laws Hilda and Wanda Rall; brother-in-laws, Bob Steier and Lavern Owens. Survivors include his wife, Jeannine; two sons, Tracy, Brewster and Tim (Kathy), Rexford; grandsons, Tyler (Christina), Colby, Logan, Levi and Wyatt, Brewster and Bryson, Rexford; granddaughters, Jessica Rall (Zeth Thompson), Colby, Melissa Rall (Dylan Eller), Weskan and Sheena (Chris) Gatz, Brewster; brothers, Kurt and Elmer (Alta), Hoxie and Gaeheart (Judy), Stillwell, OK; sisters, Rosella McConnell, Norton, KS, Louise (Robert) Withers, Salina, KS, Leona (Harold) Boor, Hays, KS; brother-in-laws, John Zeller, Colby and Larry (Nadene) Zeller, Wamego, KS; sister-in-laws, Noveline Haremza and Sherry (Chris) Mead, Colby and Violet (David) Healy, Rockford, IL and many special nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4th at the Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel in Colby with inurnment in Beulah Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorials in his name in care of the funeral home at Colby, Kansas 67701, to be designated at a later date.
