Kenneth John Focke was born in Rawlins County, Kansas, on May 31, 1928 to Marie D. Heussman and Bernhard H. Focke and passed away November 7,2014 at the Rawlins County Health Center at the age of 86. He was baptized on June 15, 1928 and confirmed on May 10, 1942 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ludell, Kansas. He attended elementary school at Enterprise School; north of Blakeman and graduated from Atwood High School in 1946.
On May 10, 1974 he was united in marriage to Leta M. Bradbury Potter at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Colby, KS.
Kenneth worked the land farming for many years and worked for Leitner Farm Supply.
He was a member of the Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Atwood and the Atwood Country Club. He was a sportsman playing golf, bowling and baseball which at times he was an umpire.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Keith, Sister, Lois and a stepson Mark Potter.
He is survived by his wife Leta, Daughter- in- Law Nancy Potter of Ada, OK, and her children, Jake of Tacoma, WA and Kimberly of Grand Junction, CO. Step- son Larry (Janet) Potter of Loveland, CO. and their children.
Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Atwood. Memorials are suggested to the church or the Good Samaritan Society of Atwood, in care of Baalmann Mortuary, 109 N 2nd St, Atwood, KS 67730.
