Keith Frederick Reunitz, 69, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017. He was born on Jan. 2, 1948 in Stratton, NE to parents Vernon and Joann (Foster) Reunitz of Ludell, KS and Colorado Springs, CO. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran church. The family later moved to Colorado followed by a move to California. Following secondary school graduation, Keith was drafted into the US Army where he spent three years as a missile technician in Germany. While in the Army, he married Angela Travis. To this union two daughters were born. After his military service, he moved with his family to Colorado. In 1982, he moved to Kansas and farmed on the family farm. Keith worked for the Citizen Patriot as a photographer and dark room technician. He was a member of the staff of the Square Deal since its inception in 1992, working as a photographer, in the darkroom and in circulation. Many will remember keith as a partner with larry Henderson as they worked with the lighting and sound systems to enhance the production of school programs and events across the area. Keith was knowledgeable about his many collections of memorabilia. He loved history and all nature had to offer. He was a kind, generous and caring person.
Keith was preceded in death by his brother David and his parents. Survivors include one brother Gordon and one sister Linda Reunitz Dryer (David) of Yucaipa, CA. Daughters Melanie Dupps of Ludell and Kristi Bacca (Jeramie) of Pueblo, CO. Grandchildren Deion, Denessa, Destanie, Kambria, Jaydinn, and Danya. One great grandson Maddox Keith Reunitz, as well as nieces and nephews Sarah, David Alexander, and Grace, and other family and friends.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Atwood. A gathering of family and friends will be held following the service at the PDC< Atwood. Memorials are suggested to the Keith F.
