Karen Anderson

Karen Ann “Kay” Anderson, 74, formerly of Oakley, died Friday, April 27, 2018, in Okarche, OK. She was born May 30, 1943, in Minot, ND, to Norman and Bernice (Fitzgerald) Peterson. On November 21, 1964, Kay married David Anderson, in Grafton, ND. Kay was a preschool teacher and enjoyed baking and music. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Oakley, St. Joseph Altar Society and the Daughters of Isabella. Her favorite activity was traveling to see her grandchildren.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband David; children, Teri (Mike) Berkgren, Oakley, KS, Stacey (Pete) Temaat-Paschetti, Pittsburg, KS, Michael (Erin) Anderson, Yorkville, IL and Robert (Ginger) Anderson, Okarche, OK; her sister, Colleen “Pinky” (Ron) Stein, Minot, ND; brother, Pat (Juana) Peterson, Minot, ND and grandchildren, Jason Berkgren, Jay Temaat, Alexis Anderson, Jenna Berkgren, Andrew Anderson, Grace Temaat, Jaime Berkgren, Josh Temaat, Cooper Anderson, Ella Anderson and Josie Anderson.

Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley, with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley, with burial in the church cemetery.
